厦门市园林植物园国家5A级景区的“入场券”

厦门市园林植物园建于年，是国家首批5A级景区鼓浪屿-万石山国家级重点风景名胜区的核心景区、全国科普教育基地、中国生物多样性保护示范基地、国内唯一的国家棕榈植物保育中心和国家三角梅种质资源库，并拥有国内目前规模最大的室外大型仙人掌植物展示区。景区总面积4.91平方公里，坐落在鹭岛的城市中央，依万石山而建，与城市风貌交相辉映，是花园城市中心的山海一体景观。

游植物天堂，享厦门生活

植物园景区拥有“植物造景、自然奇观和人文胜景”三大特色，观赏游憩价值高。多肉植物区、奇趣植物区、雨林世界等15个专类园独具特色，引种栽培保育植物多种，植物造景引人入胜，水榭亭台点缀其间，构建出一个山水交融、人水相亲的生态旅游景区。
